Outage Update: 8:00 PM, February 20, 2017

Bartlett Electric Cooperative crews are continuing to make repairs to the lines and poles that were damaged by the severe storms in the Thorndale and Rockdale areas early today. At 7:00 PM today, BEC had approximately 150 meters that are still out of power.

Repairs need to be completed on 13 Transmission structures serving areas North, West, and East of Thorndale. These are Oncor structures, and therefore must be repaired by Oncor. In some locations, Oncor transmission lines must be raised off of BEC lines and poles before BEC repairs can be completed.

Preparations should be made to preserve food in refrigerators and freezers as this outage may extend into daylight Tuesday, February 21, 2017.

Thank you for your patience.
