Accounting
Bartlett Electric Cooperative, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified candidate for an Accounting Supervisor position. The Accounting Supervisor must have demonstrated leadership/supervisory ability and a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of cooperative accounting practices.
The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for accurately and efficiently maintaining financial and accounting records consistent with the Rural Utilities Service (RUS) accounting practices and procedures, as well as GAAP.
The Accounting Supervisor performs the functions of finance and accounting which may include, but are not limited to, supervising and developing personnel, allocating resources, developing, conducting, and monitoring accounting activities in accordance with established policies, plans and objectives of BEC.
Five (5) years of experience in financial accounting in an accounting department, preferably with an electric cooperative or utility. Experience with RUS accounting preferred. Experience in all aspects of the accounting department, in include subsidiaries, work orders, accounts receivable, accounts payable, ledger reconciliations up to financial reporting, and coordination of audits. Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory position preferred. Bachelor’s degree in related field, accounting degree preferred, but work experience in a rural cooperative may substitute for degree.
Broadband & IT
Bartlett Electric Cooperative, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified candidate for a Broadband Design Technician position. The Broadband Design Technician assists the BEC Communications Department in providing pre-construction contacts, contracts, easements, planning, and design for reliable, safe and economical line extensions, removals, changes, improvements, and maintenance

A BEC Broadband Design Technician must possess a working knowledge of Geometry and Trigonometry to determine line angles and strain loading. A working knowledge of surveying and designing routine overhead and underground fiber line and knowledge of fiber distribution, including strand and buffer tube counts, splicing, light loss factors, splitters, splice enclosures, and interpretation of connection diagrams is necessary.
Bartlett Electric Cooperative, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified candidate for Broadband Plant Technician position. The Broadband Plant Technician typically works indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
The Broadband Plant Technician will participate with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of overhead and underground fiber optics and communications equipment. The Broadband Plant Technician possesses the knowledge and experience to handle these tasks on overhead and underground powerlines and powerline equipment. The Broadband Plant Technician will also participate in trimming, clearing, chipping, and/or chemically treating trees and/or brush along the right-of-ways, ensuring accurate completion of required forms, reports and other documentation.
Engineering
Bartlett Electric Cooperative, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified candidate for a Project Coordinator position. The Project Coordinator assists the Engineering Department in the responsibility of project management of the design and construction of underground and overhead residential, commercial, industrial, and electric distribution facilities of all complexities. This position is also responsible for contributing to the GIS database maintenance effort and highway project coordination.

The BEC Project Coordinator functions as a lead line designer and assists in the training of Line Design Aides and Line Design Technicians within the department.
Operations
Bartlett Electric Cooperative, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified candidate for an Apprentice Lineman position. This position is and entry-level position.
The ideal candidate must possess the skills and knowledge to accurately perform work on non-energized equipment or to successfully learn to do so.
The Apprentice Lineman must be able to complete pole climbing training and certify the ability to pole climb (including Pole Top Rescue) within 90 days of employment and maintain such ability.
This position will be required to work overtime and/or on call duty after normal working hours, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Must be able to report for duty within thirty (30) minutes of notification when on call.
