Bartlett Electric Cooperative, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified candidate for a Member Service Representative (MSR) position. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, well-organized, reliable, and must be familiar with computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in Customer Service or a related field is a plus but is not required.
A Member Service Representative will be responsible for greeting Members and the general public who may visit the office, be able to establish new member accounts and communicate effectively with Members regarding both BEC’s electricity and broadband offerings. Communication with Members includes issues relating to high bill complaints, general service issues and metering issues. A Member Service Representative is also responsible for having knowledge of the cooperative’s tariffs and various rate structures. Finally, the MSR will be responsible for effectively working with other Member Service Representatives, the Member Service Supervisor and various Departments within the organization.
Broadband
Bartlett Electric Cooperative, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified candidate for Broadband Plant Technician/Apprentice position. The Broadband Plant Technician/Apprentice typically works indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
The Broadband Plant Technician/Apprentice position requires knowledge of (or the ability to successfully obtain and maintain knowledge of) fiber optic construction, splicing and a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of safe line construction, line maintenance, troubleshooting and public relations. The Broadband Plant Technician/Apprentice possesses the knowledge and experience to handle these tasks in a safe and secure manner for the benefit of co-workers and the general public.
The Broadband Plant Technician/Apprentice must possess a valid Class C Texas Driver’s License with an acceptable driving history, at a minimum. The individual must also be willing and able to obtain a Class A CDL.
Bartlett Electric Cooperative, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified candidate for a Broadband Technical Support Representative position. This is an entry level Technical Support classification (Tier I support).
A BEC Technical Support Representative must possess the ability to perform functions within Information Technology such as taking phone calls from customers or communicating with them through messaging platforms, helping customers diagnose technical issues over the phone and walking the customers through resolutions or elevating the issue to higher support.
A BEC Technical Support Representative must be able to perform functions within Technical Support area to support Broadband Plant personnel and BEC Contractors.
Position requires after hours On Call work to support both internal and external customers.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a computer-related field and customer service experience preferred.
Operations
Bartlett Electric Cooperative, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified candidate for an Apprentice Lineman position. This position is and entry-level position. The ideal candidate must possess the skills and knowledge to accurately perform work on non-energized equipment or to successfully learn to do so.
The Apprentice Lineman must be able to complete pole climbing training and certify the ability to pole climb (including Pole Top Rescue) within 90 days of employment and maintain such ability. This position will be required to work overtime and/or on call duty after normal working hours, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Must be able to report for duty within thirty (30) minutes of notification when on call.
Bartlett Electric Cooperative, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified candidate for a Quality Control Technician position. The Quality Control Technician serves as a liaison with construction contractors to maximize activities, time, manpower, budget and equipment required for constructing and maintaining power and broadband distribution systems. This work is performed under limited supervision.
The Quality Control Technician must be familiar with contracts and invoice billing for contractors as well as right-of-way clearing and new construction procedures for both power and broadband systems. A minimum of five (5) years’ utility staking/line design experience is required.
