Bartlett Electric Cooperative, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified candidate for a Geographic Information System (GIS) Technician. This position is responsible for assisting the BEC Engineering staff with the development and maintenance of the GIS database for Bartlett Electric Cooperative, Inc.
This position is also responsible for converting staking designs, civil plans and land base records into geospatial format in GIS for infrastructure construction projects, performing quality assurance and quality control, and producing related maps, reports and queries.
The GIS Technician is tasked with accurately creating, collecting, reviewing, analyzing, and validating Cooperative asset data within GIS and/or other asset information databases and applications.
An Associate’s Degree or Technical Degree in Computer Science, Geoscience, Surveying, Geography, Engineering, or a closely related field is preferred, but not required. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Engineering with at least one (1) year at GIS Technician classification or equivalent is required. Survey or Staking Technician certification may be substituted for experience at BEC’s discretion. Practical experience with editing, database development and map production in ArcGIS is preferred, but not required. Practical experience with AutoCAD or other GIS scripting languages is preferred, but not required.

Bartlett Electric Cooperative, is currently seeking a qualified candidate for a Member Service Representative (MSR) position. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, well-organized, reliable, and must be familiar with computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in Customer Service or a related field is a plus, but is not required.
A Member Service Representative will be responsible for greeting Members and the general public who may visit the office, be able to establish new member accounts and communicate effectively with Members regarding both BEC’s electricity and broadband offerings. Communication with Members includes issues relating to high bill complaints, general service issues and metering issues. A Member Service Representative is also responsible for having knowledge of the cooperative’s tariffs and various rate structures. Finally, the MSR will be responsible for effectively working with other Member Service Representatives, the Member Service Supervisor and various Departments within the organization.
Broadband
Bartlett Electric Cooperative, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified candidate for a Broadband Project Coordinator position. The Broadband Project Coordinator assists the Communications Department in the responsibility of project management of the design and construction of underground and overhead residential, commercial, industrial, and fiber distribution facilities of all complexities. This position is also responsible for maintaining and updating the broadband mapping solution.
Responsibilities also include the coordination of construction work plan projects by reviewing cost estimates, contracts, design, easements, acquirement of material, staking of line, staking sheets, and other documentation, as required.
The Broadband Project Coordinator inspects completed work to ensure it has been done to specifications, in compliance with all safety policies/procedures/codes. Ensures substandard construction or defects on the system are found, repaired and documented to minimize exposure, maximize safety and limit legal liability.
